Evolve, Transform & Thrive – Envisioning a New & Improved Future

On March 2nd, we kicked off a special series, “Creating Resiliency During the COVID-19 Crisis.” Over the past several weeks, we have featured articles, podcasts and webinars from our Consultants Collective member consultants, advisors and coaches. We hope these have been helpful resources.

At JEM, we’ve begun to focus on what comes next. What will the future look like? What can we do now to prepare, and lead, and shape a new future? How can we take this opportunity to stop and think, to make good decisions, to improve ourselves and our organizations and create a future that’s better than the past?

We now want to take the next step and become more future-facing, not just focusing on resiliency or reacting to the effects of the crisis, but being proactive and focused on evolution and transformation. In keeping with our mission to help our clients successfully shape the future with a focus on bottom line results, driven by mission, purpose and values, we’ve been thinking about how can we help organizations to not just survive, but to thrive in the new normal.

The COVID-19 crisis has presented significant new challenges to all of us, but it has also highlighted existing systemic issues and problems that we now have the opportunity to address with better models and solutions. And so, with the following brief musing, I am pleased to kick off our new series, “Evolve, Transform and Thrive.”

We’ll be publishing articles, podcasts and webinars, including our webinar, Why Digital Transformation is More Important Than Ever and announcing new offerings soon. We hope we can be a valuable resource to you and your organization as you envision your new future, and we’d love to hear what you’re working on to evolve and transform your organization. Please leave a comment, or get in touch and share your story with us.

When The World Took a Break

When the world took a break
When we were forced to stop
Everything
It seemed like a disaster, a void
But perhaps it could be seen as a blank canvas
For new ideas, new possibilities, new opportunities
To innovate to ideate, to create and invent
Reimagine, reposition, recreate, reengineer, reexamine
Refocus on what really matters
Redefine measures of meaning and relevance and success
Facing the future not with fear, but with hope and a new vision
Maybe we can be better, do better, build something better
Something more sustainable, more equitable, more sensible, more healthy, more enjoyable, and maybe even more profitable
The world was forced to take a break
But maybe we can make something of it
Maybe we can evolve, transform, and work together to create a future where we all thrive
